Notice of Renewal of Membership

January 4, 2011

TO      :           MOAPTBETI MEMBER INSTITUTIONS/INDIVIDUALS

RE      :           NOTICE of RENEWAL of MEMBERSHIP

Gentlemen/Ladies:

A Prosperous New Year To All of Us!!!

It has been noted that for the past years, we are experiencing crisis in membership and in leadership in our organization. Commitment is a very big question in our organization in the midst of CHANGES and TRENDS in the TVET sector where we served.

Attendance in every meeting was neglected. Corporate as well as individual members don’t care about sending representative/s during general meetings just to comply with the quorum requirements and to justify that we are a COHESIVE association.

In view of this present state of our association, as your concurrent president, I am soliciting your sincere response on your respective MEMBERSHIPS whether or not, you will continue to be with MOAPTBET, Incorporated for current year and beyond.

I am attaching herewith our UPDATE PROFILE FORM for you to renew your membership with the association to be submitted with its corresponding membership fee of P500 for institutional membership and P200 for individual membership not later than February 17, 2011.

We agreed last meeting that only those institutions/individuals who will update their respective memberships will enjoy and benefit of what is being a truly committed MOAPTBETians.

We, the officers would like to engage year 2011 strategically for the good of its members and the community where we serve best. Thank you and see you on our upcoming general assembly this month.

Sincerely,

JOSEPH M. BAGUIO, MM
President, MOAPTBETI

MOAPTBET: WHERE IS NOW?

By: Gisella Ria A. Garcia

Just recently, our MOAPTBET organization is starting to detach from its objectives and purposes which are:

Sec. 1. To create a venue wherein TVET administrators and trainers can cooperatively work together for the productive and total development of our Human Resources;

Sec. 2.To promote closer relationship and cooperation among Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions within the province of Misamis Oriental and the Island of Camiguin;

Sec. 3. To establish strategic partnership and linkages in improving the effective delivery of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for the development of our Human Resources;

Sec. 4. To convey to TESDA management all issues and concerns affecting the Technical Vocational Institutions as a whole in its implementation of TVET Programs.

Sec. 5. To work closely with TESDA in providing quality TVET in-line with the Millennium Development Goals and Poverty Alleviation agenda of the government.

Sec. 6. To cooperate and work with other agencies both government and private in the improvement and promotion of policies for the development of Technical Vocational Education and Training;

Sec. 7. To initiate programs that will promote and develop TVET through research studies and disseminate the same to proper authority;

Sec. 8. To promote and safeguard the interest and welfare of its members and the institution through the establishment of mutual support system;

Sec. 9. This association is purely social, fraternal, non-political, non-stock and non-profit organization.

However and whenever, there is still some strength that we need to cultivate from this organization. Its purposes and objectives will claim its mission and vision to all its members and to the community of Misamis Oriental.

Let us analyze which strength of an organization MOAPTBET needs to work out.

Somewhere, we lost communication. It is supposedly a source of the organization’s strength. With several reasons, we depart from each other in isolation.

Information which was supposedly commonly shared among the members of the group was sought individually from different sources leaving the group divided into unhealthy competition.

Intervention of outside or internal powers increased the level of independency of the schools thus weakens the group instead of challenging the organization’s members to act together to become stronger.

Supposedly, we are to network to share notes on “what you know”, “who you know” and “how you did it” to help each other surpass common issues. We could save each other from solving the same problems the nth time. We are supposedly linked making us stronger.

The pool of school administrators and leaders we had has the skills or the ability, manifested in individuals of getting things done of it wants to get done: technical skills, management skills, organizational skills, mobilization skills. The more skills we pull-in and obtain, the more empowered our organization could be.

We might do not have the trust, unity and wealth within MOAPTBET. More trust and dependability within an organization reflects its increased capacity. Unity does not mean that everyone is the same, but that everyone tolerates, even celebrates, each others' differences, and works for the common good. All the more, the organization has not yet accumulated that much wealth to entice the members intact.

What for in 2011?

Currently, there are initiatives like MOAPTBET group in facebook, willing and able Executive Officers and Board Members, the creation of MOAPTBET.blogspot.com website, highly interested executive director, and some passionate members. MOAPTBET will rise and continue to pursue its objectives.

There is indeed great power in numbers. So we are calling again schools to renew your membership to the organization. Believe that there is much that we can do together with this organization, much more that you can do you just by yourself. Be with us, worked with us. We are what composes MOAPTBET.

Let us meet prior to our General Assembly on an Officer and interested members meeting on February 11, 2011 @ 1PM in Mana Millenium, Tiano-Gomez Streets, Cagayan de Oro City. (map as attached)

Attend our General Assembly on February 16, 2011 at Immanuel Global College, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

Communicate to us, send your feedback to moaptbet@gmail.com.

Together, we can make better and bigger results.
